Welcome to Berg Gård

A family story of dedication, restoration and sustainable agriculture on Inderøy

The family behind Berg Gård

We are Kirsti Farbu and Svein Berfjord, who have children Jørgen, Petter and Vebjørn.
We originally come from Mosjøen, and are both trained foresters from the forestry school in Steinkjer.

OUR JOURNEY

In 1987 we bought the farm Berg Øvre on Inderøy.
Since then, we have spent most of our time and resources building up and restoring the farm.

Among other things, we have built a new barn house, restored the trønderlåna from 1840 and restored the business building.

In 2002, we built a new multipurpose building with a butchery, farm food kitchen, general store and eatery.

In addition, since 1993 we have carried out extensive cultural landscape care and new cultivation.

From Grain Production to Diverse Operations

From the start, we ran one-sided grain production, but today we run a versatile production where we try to utilize all the farm's resources such as houses, infields, outfields, pastures and cultural heritage. In short, we try to utilize the entire cultural landscape in a commercial context.

Cultivation and Production

In terms of agriculture, we run sheep (60 winter pens), free-range pigs and beekeeping. All this is refined and sold or served on the farm. In addition, we operate 400 da of cultivated land divided into 300 da of grain, 30 da of caraway. We also have 100 da and 300 da of forest.

Products from the Farm

Everything we produce on the farm is carefully refined and either sold or served here.

In our farm shop you can buy our quality products, and in our restaurant you can enjoy them fresh.

Experience the taste of local food directly from the source.

The golden detour to the good experience

The shortest route to an experience for the eyes, palate and stomach, should you find yourself on the E6 a little north of Trondheim, is the Golden Bypass.
