This involves, among other things, sorting waste, reducing the use of energy, using local food and choosing local suppliers who care about the environment and follow internal routines to ensure well-being at work.

We start with a careful selection of seeds and plants, and grow our crops in a sustainable and natural way.

Use of local food and raw materials
Berg-Gård AS is concerned that local food and raw materials are used. We produce, process and sell/serve "untravelled food".
The lambs are born here, they are gardeners in the farm's cultural landscape, they are slaughtered here, processed here, and they are eaten here or sold from our farm shop.
The rapeseeds from our fields are threshed, dried, cleaned and cold-pressed into the world's northernmost rapeseed oil.
Everything happens on the farm.
Health-promoting working environment
Section 1-1 of the Working Environment Act states that the working environment must be health-promoting:
"The purpose of the Act is to ensure a working environment that provides the basis for a health-promoting and meaningful working situation."
Both employers and employees have an interest in the workplace being health-promoting.
